Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Jazz for Young People® on Tour program brings traveling professional jazz ensembles into communities all over the world. In our kickoff concert, party jazz collective Thunderswamp will bring the heat of the bayou and the soul of the parade in a celebration of the culture and legacy of New Orleans. Second line grooves, blues belting, and music of Louis Armstrong, Sidney Bechet, Professor Longhair and more will be presented in this homage to the Crescent City.
