Join award-winning NYC cabaret artist and professional actor, Valerie diLorenzo, as she delivers her unique blend of vocal nuance and humor to selections from the Sondheim catalogue including Into The Woods, Follies, Gypsy, Sweeney Todd, Merrily We Roll Along, A Little Night Music and more. Having been introduced to Sondheim at a very early age, this thespian feels like she “kinda grew up with Steve.” The joke about Sondheim’s songs is that there are just a million words in an often odd melody line, but, in revisiting Steve, audiences will hear how he captures the human condition (and speech pattern) as no else quite can. And, in the case of Sondheim, first impressions do indeed merit a second glance.  Accompaniment by Barry Levitt.
