John Drew Theater Lab (JDTLab), a workshop devoted to fostering East End performing artists, returns for the fall season! Under the dynamic direction of Tony Award nominee Ethan McSweeny, VIVA LOS BASTARDITOS!, a new musical, boasts an all-star cast of some of Broadway’s hottest performers including Blake DeLong (NATASHA, PIERRE AND THE GREAT COMET OF 1812) and Alex Morf (OF MICE AND MEN, WAR HORSE). In a mysterious land known as Western Massachusetts, two dastardly villains use a phony land grant to seize control of most of the country. Soon the poor citizens are at their mercy, forced to pay astronomical rents or vacate their homes. Out of the helpless masses, three rock stars unite to form LOS BASTARDITOS – a music-based, costume-wearing People’s Revolution – to fight the would-be dictators and their army of rent collectors.
