Presented by Hofstra Professor James Kolb. In this “best [not] of all possible worlds” nothing goes according to plan. Candide and his beloved, Cunégonde, are separated by war only to find each other again, and experience more catastrophes before they learn that the best world is one in which they will lower their expectations and make their garden grow.
