LI Parents Day Comes to LIU-Post Campus, September 17

LI Parents Day, An Afternoon Event of Fun & Learning,
Comes to LIU – Post Campus, September 17, 11 – 3PM

WHAT: A full day of fun activities for kids and information for parents, the much-anticipated annual spectacular organized by NYMetroParents, the publishers of seven popular monthly parenting magazines including two Long Island Parent editions for Nassau and Suffolk counties, and Kids will have the opportunity to participate in classes, activities, and more as parents meet local businesses that can help make the school year ahead the most exciting one yet.

This year’s LI Parents Day will feature more than 50 exhibitors ready to meet the hundreds of families who traditionally turn out for this event. Featured activities include: a live reptiles with Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery & Aquarium, dance classes with Eglevsky Ballet, a bounce house with YMCA Long Island, a robotics session with the Catholic Schools of Long Island, an introduction to computer programming and creativity with The Coder School, face painting and clowns with, arts & crafts with Not Just Art, mediation and relaxation with Kadampa Meditation Center, along with magicians, balloon twisting, cotton candy, and much more. LI Parents Day will also have a Special Needs Alley where parents can get information from expert providers.

WHEN/WHERE: LI Parents Day will take place Sunday, September 17, from 11 am to 3 pm at Long Island University’s Post Campus at Pratt Recreational Center, 720 Northern Boulevard, Brookville, Long Island.
