Come out and enjoy a brisk run through the beautiful Holbrook community! Registration: You must park and register at Holbrook FD Headquarters at 390 Terry Blvd in Holbrook, between 7:00AM-8:30AM. 5K Runners will start and finish at Holbrook FD Headquarters. Register online at Active.com. *** First 100 Registered will receive a Free T-Shirt**** Race Entry Includes: Race Day Bib, Post-Race Raffle & Award Ceremony. Race Day – The Lightning Strikes 5K Run/Walk will begin promptly at 9 am on Saturday October 4th, 2014. Registered runners should arrive between 8:15 and 8:30am to have ample time for parking, warm up, and check in. Runners who intend to register for the run the day of the race should arrive between 7:30am and 8:00am. Day of the race registration closes at 8:45 am in preparation for the 9 am race start time. At the conclusion of the race there will be a small afterparty with raffles, snacks, and music. All runners should dress weather appropriatelyand bring a photo id.
Parking- Runners should arrive at the Holbrook Fire Department Headquarters and follow signs and directions from the Holbrook Fire Department Fire Police, and Suffolk County Officers. There will be plenty of parking available within the community.
Course- The Lightning Strikes 5K Run/Walk is a beautiful jog through the Holbrook community and business districts. The race will begin and conclude at the community Park near the Holbrook Fire Department Headquarters on Terry Blvd.
Remember: Eat a light breakfast the day of the event. Dress weather apropriately, as we will be running rain or shine! Bring a photo id. But most importantly- HAVE FUN!
