La Tavola will host their annual Mitch’s Run Scholarship Fundraiser in memory of Mitchell Cangelosi who passed away in 2006. Tickets for Friday’s event are $35 and can be purchased at the restaurant during the event. Each donation includes a t-shirt, dinner, happy hour priced drinks, ability to participate in a 50/50 raffle and live music. On Saturday, July 30, there will be a walk/run on the beach at Sailors Haven in Mitch’s honor. Discounted ferry tickets will be available at Sayville Ferry Terminal for $10 on both the 9:20 and 10:30 a.m. ferries.
