Children and parents are invited to attend the National Youth Baseball Championships Festival Day at Baseball Heaven at 350 Sills Road in Yaphank, New York 11980 on Friday, July 29th. Festival Day will feature a MLB roundtable at 10:30 a.m. presented by Brita with former baseball managers Bobby Valentine and Jerry Manuel plus former MLB player Eric Karros. The grand opening of the Tommy Lasorda Collection of memorabilia situated next to Baseball Heaven’s café will take place at noon with an appearance and ribbon cutting by Hall of Fame manager Tommy Lasorda. The 12u All-Star game will start at 1:00 p.m. and the teams will be managed by Bobby Valentine and Jerry Manuel. Festival Day will also include a climbing wall, music, player & team interviews, mascot visits & more. Festival day is a celebration of our national pastime and the 2016 National Youth Baseball Championships being held all week long starting Monday, July 25th with finals concluding Sunday, July 31st. Children under 12 will be admitted free to Festival Day, 12-17 $3.00 and over 18 $5.00.
