The Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research and Preservation is celebrating it’s 20th anniversary with their 16th annual Oceans of Hope fundraising event on Friday, September 30 at 7 p.m. at the Long Island Aquarium and Exhibition Center! This year’s Mardi Gras event will feature an open bar and Louisiana-inspired food, Brazilian dancers, Big Easy-style entertainment, a jazz band, and more! Tickets are $200 per person, and may be purchased online at bit.ly/oceansofhope2016. Sponsorships are available, and packages may be found online as well. All proceeds will benefit the organization and their mission to preserve and protect our marine environment through conservation efforts including education, rehabilitation, and research.
