In the great tradition of the last 26 years, opera will once again come to the Hamptons through the annual favorite concert “Cristina Fontanelli and Her Fabulous Friends” taking place on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the Duck Walk Vineyard North, 44535 Main Rd., Southold, NY on the North Fork of the Hamptons on Long Island.

This annual concert will continue the tradition of highlighting the great arias, duets and Broadway songs of the world. Starring and hosted by the award-winning singer/PBS-TV/WLIW and CBS-TV host, Cristina Fontanelli will perform (“The best work came from Soprano, Cristina Fontanelli.” – the New York Times; “Vocal genius” – NY Sun; “Cristina Fontanelli at Feinsteins at the Regency is like seeing a cross between Maria Callas and Ethel Merman. She has no equal.” – Forbes Magazine) along with her world-renowned invited guest artists: Ricardo Rivera, Baritone (“The cast was winning over all, especially the baritone Ricardo Rivera as Orsini.” Anthony Tommasini, The New York Times); Tenor t/b/a (on this summer evening on the North Fork of the Hamptons on Long Island, and will include 10 year-old, North Fork resident, Katie Heath. The concert will take place in the beautiful indoor Duckwalk Vineyard tasting room built by Long Island’s pioneer of the wine industry, Dr. Herodotas “Dan” Damianos who passed away in 2014. It will commemorate Dr. Damianos’ love for opera. Alex Damianos is continuing this tradition in the footsteps of his father. Duck Walk Vineyard wines are nationally known and their Blueberry Port has developed an iconic following.
Opera of the Hamptons was founded by Barbara Giancola under whose guidance many public performances and school programs were held on both the South and North Forks of the Hamptons. Fontanelli Productions LLC will be the producing company for this year’s performance and will continue to bring opera and classic music to the Hamptons.

Soprano Cristina Fontanelli (www.cristinafontanelli.com) is a highly acclaimed singer and PBS-TV and CBS-TV host. She has sung throughout the United States. Europe, the Far East and the Middle East. Ms. Fontanelli has sung at the Clinton White House and for the Inauguration of President George W. Bush, with the Palm Beach, Cairo, NY and New Jersey State Opera, has received the Lifetime Achievement Award in the Arts from the Order Sons of Italy in America (previous honoree Luciano Pavarotti) and has appeared as PBS-TV WNET/WLIW host for Andrea Bocelli “Live From Central Park” and “Il Volo Takes Flight.
