By invitation of Town of Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer, Lumiere Ballet brings “Paquita”, a traditional, celebration Ballet with a Spanish flair. “Paquita” is set to the music of Minkus with original choreography is by Marius Petipa.
Lumiere Ballet’s featured students and guest professionals sparkle against the beautiful backdrop of The Great South Bay.

This free, outdoor performance of “Paquita”, will be performed on Friday, August 22nd and Sunday, August 24th at 7:30PM. This performance is funded by County of Suffolk: Steve Bellone, Suffolk County Excecutive, DuWayne Gregory, Suffolk County Legislator.

Founded and directed by Svetlana Caton and Venti Petrov, Lumiere Ballet includes a ten-month winter term and summer intensive program. The student based performing company presents classical, romantic, and contemporary ballet repertoire at appearances throughout Long Island and New York City.

Tanner Park is located at the end of Baylawn Avenue south of Montauk Highway. Tanner Park is also accessible by the LIRR at the Copiague Station. Audience members should bring a blanket or lawn chair.
