Gallery North is pleased to present Reboli, an exhibition celebrating the life and legacy of the late Joseph Reboli. His paintings embrace the Long Island landscape and the summer scenery from Block Island as well as beautifully rendered household objects. In all, we see Reboli’s rapt attention to composition and form.

Reboli lived on Long Island’s North Shore developing his career as an artist. His work is based on a sense of place and love of light and color. Balance, harmony and an unflinching eye for detail inform his iconic paintings as he captured the beauty and nature of the local historic area without sentimentality. His work, the subject of five Museums exhibitions and over twenty solo exhibitions, has been included in numerous group shows.

This 2014 Exhibition marks the tenth anniversary of his death and will include paintings on loan from various private collections as well as works for sale. The exhibition precedes the 10th Annual Gallery North/ Joseph Reboli Wet Paint Festival held every year in Reboli’s honor. This year, the Wet Paint Festival will be held at Avalon Park and Preserve, Stony Brook and Harmony Vineyard, Head of the Harbor, July 11th -13th.

Gallery North is open Tuesday – Saturday 10 – 5 and Sunday 12 – 5.
