Philip Y. Nicholson, Professor Emeritus, Nassau Community College will visit the Connetquot Public Library on Monday February 12 from 7:00-8:30pm for a discussion on Robert Moses. This New York State “master builder” laid the foundations for what would become suburban America during the mid-20th century. Because he favored highways over public transportation, suburbs were born, changing the infrastructural landscape of NYC, Long Island, and Rockland and Westchester counties. The library is located at 760 Ocean Avenue, Bohemia. For additional information please contact the library at 631-567-5079 or visit our website
