Come enjoy a magical evening of chamber music at M. Wells Steakhouse, featuring a string quartet led by violinist Amanda Lo and M.Wells’ own Étienne Guérin on guitar.
The program is inspired by Robert Bresson’s legendary donkey tale “Au Hasard Balthazar”. The gorgeous Franz Schubert Andantino that haunts the film will be performed in an unusual arrangement for string quartet. Also, Étienne Guérin will perform excerpts from another moving donkey story, the very Andalusian “Platero y yo” on solo guitar. Finally, all musicians will gather in Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco’s flamboyant Quintet for guitar and strings.
Tickets $75, includes two selected beverages as well as light fare of Viennese and Andalusian inspiration, served family-style.
