A return of the acoustic and electric spectacular. Spaghetti Eastern Music is the solo project of Port Washington guitarist, keyboardist and singer Sal Cataldi. Cataldi fuses Eastern beat and funk-influenced guitar instrumentals with acoustic vocal tunes. Supported by Sea Cliff songwriter Martin Foley who plays at 7 pm. Time Out New York writes: “Cataldi’s largely instrumental, Eastern-influenced jams are infused with some delicate guitar work and hauntingly moody atmosphere,” while The New York Times proclaims Cataldi has “a beat unmistakably his own.” Called “truly excellent” by The Village Voice, “triumphantly funkified” by UPI and “wonderfully melodic and off-center” by WFMU’s Irene Trudel. LI Pulse say “Cataldi’s sounds are as varied as his record collection.” His critically-acclaimed new album “Sketches of Spam” and more info is available at www.reverbnation.com/spaghettieasternmusic
