Are you looking to explore a new medium? Improve on your skills in a medium you currently enjoy? Than this class is for you!
Students can use any medium they wish to explore: pencil, charcoal, ink, pastels, watercolor, oils or acrylic are welcomed. Using a still life set up, Each student will receive personal instruction and technical advice based on their chosen medium and skills during the sessions.
This class is offered in 3-week sessions
Session 1: Wednesday Aug. 27, Sept. 3, Sept. 10 Session 2: Wednesday Sept. 24, Oct. 1, Oct.8 Session 3: Wednesday Oct. 22, 29, Nov. 5
John Mansueto is a fine art landscape painter and freelance illustrator formally educated at Parsons School of Design where he graduated in 1983 with a Bachelor of Fine Art. John has illustrated children’s books, worked at JMR graphics, and was the staff artist at the Fire Island Tide Newspaper. Inspired by captivating landscapes, John seeks out diverse locations of interest all over Long Island and captures them on canvas using a distinctive technique allowing him to create a unique sense of realism.
Students are responsible for bringing their own materials based on the medium of their choice.
