Join us for our newest workshop: Stretch & Flex! This workshop is for all of those who want to increase their core strength and flexibility to take their dancing to the next level!
In this workshop students will begin with a thorough warm up to prepare the body and mind for increasing your range of motion. Once the warm up is complete focus will then be placed on moves to strengthen your splits, back bends, and core muscles. A strong focus will be put on core strengthening and balance.
This workshop is not only for those who want to increase their flexibility but also those who want to improve their movement through daily activities. Stretching is also a great way to alleviate pain and aches that tight muscles can cause the body. Techniques and exercises learned here can be applied to any level/genre of dance.
This is an open level class and drop ins are welcome.
PLEASE NOTE: Yoga Mats are REQUIRED to participate in this workshop. Attire should allow you to stretch freely such as stretch or sweat pants (NO Jeans).
Preferred footwear: Socks or barefoot. Blocks are preferred for those with high level splits but not required.
About the instructor: Amanda is an ACE certified group fitness instruction and has been a polefit dancer for three years. Through her love of pole dance she has learned the importance flexibility has on not only making a move beautiful, but in creating a balanced body. She has a huge love for self expression in dance and has taken an interest in learning about the unlimited potential the body possesses through stretch, dance, and contortion.
Day: Saturdays 2pm-3pm
Dates: 6 Week Workshop April 4- May 9
Cost: 6 Weeks for $90 or $20 per class
Early Registration Discount: Register by March 21 to receive all 6 weeks for $75.
