The Art Bus Project kicks off a collaborative coloring series with Sag Harbor artist Michelle Muri-Sloane. Everyone (all ages) is invited to come to Guild Hall’s lobby and stick their toe in artistic waters by coloring one of Muri-Sloane’s large scale line drawings. The end result will be a unique piece of artwork presented to the institution. Colored markers will be supplied. Following this event, the series will visit various locations throughout the East End. A reproduction of the same line drawing will be presented at each site – with the differences in each “completed” drawing demonstrating creative minds can respond in an infinite variety of ways to the same prompts. In addition to the large scale project, Muri-Sloane’s hand-rafted coloring books, Art Bus Project tote bags, and postcards will be for sale with proceeds going to support The Art Bus Project’s inaugural tour.
