Gallery North is pleased to present The Art Collectors: Portraits & Figures, an exhibition which presents original artwork from the extensive collection of Richard Gerrig and Timothy Peterson. Included are works by Andy Warhol, Robert Mapplethorpe, Man Ray, and many others. The exhibition also features original artwork by regional artists.

Through their passion for contemporary art, they have amassed a diverse collection, including works by many artists who are now their personal friends. Gerrig and Peterson follow their instincts and have approached the art of collecting without having the market dictate what they should buy. They are attracted to work with a message, often with a bit of humor, always with a keen visual sensibility.

In addition to the work from the collection of Gerrig and Peterson, Gallery North will show work from local and regional artists: John Benevento, Petey Brown, Nancy Bueti- Randall, Colleen Franca, Robert Franca, John Goodrich, Robert Henry, Bruce Lieberman, John MacWhinnie, Paton Miller, Don Perlis, Joseph Podlesnik, Langdon Quin, Maedeh Safari, Sam Thurston, Selina Trieff, Mark Webber, and Jim Wilson.
