“Arts Against Addiction” brings together East Hampton artists, musicians, and writers to provide treatment scholarships for individuals who respond to creative counseling. The paintings at this show are priced significantly less than the gallery prices for these artists. Silent auction and raffle of “Curious Objects.”
Noon to 3pm- Free viewing for the public.
6pm- Doors open for the show
*Hors d’oeuvres by Springs General Store.
*Free non-alcohol beverage station.
*Classic rocks songs by D.J. John Lockwood (addiction themes).
*“Curious Objects” raffle. Raffle winners announced every 15 minutes.
Two raffle grand prizes:
1) Larry Rivers exhibition poster with signed autograph card (1977).
2) Willem De Kooning exhibition poster (1974)
Proceeds from the fundraiser go towards:
-Providing treatment scholarships. A number of east end artists, musicians and writers will directly benefit by having access to this kind of highly personalized treatment.
-Raising awareness that creative individuals are more susceptible to addictive illness than the general population.
The QTherapy Institute does science based drug treatment for people who don’t respond well to rehabs and 12 Step programs. Counseling is done through the QTherapy Institute- an online counseling center or over the phone.
