Lumiere Ballet is pleased to announce their 18th Nutcracker season. Featuring award winning students and professional dancers, this year’s performances will be held at the Town Hall

With the immortal score of Peter I. Tchaikovsky and the choreography of Petipa and Ivanov, the Nutcracker ballet was originally performed in Russia in 1892.
Lumière Ballet’s artistic directors Svetlana Caton and Venti Petrov bring their knowledge and passion to the stage and allow the children to tell the story. The joy of the season comes to life with the Christmas Eve celebration, the Waltzing Snow Flakes, and the enchanting land of Sweets.
The cast includes: Venti Petrov – International award winner, Artistic co-director Lumiere Ballet (see bio below) – dancing role of The Nutcracker Prince. Natalia Sheptalova – Gelsey Kirkland Ballet Company – dancing role of Sugar Plum Fairy. Rochelle Martin – Peconic Ballet, and Michael Linneman – New York Conservatory of Dance.
Lumière Ballet encompasses a year round professional training program, summer intensive studies, and a performing company which presents fine works from the classical, romantic, and the Lumiere Ballet’s own, original repertoire.
