The Potato Ball, as part of THE BIG POTATO, will be held on October 8, 2016, from 7-10pm.
Inspired by the famous potato-themed dinners innovated by the great Antoine-Augustin Parmentier for the King and Queen in late 18th century Paris, and credited with helping save the people of France from famine. Attendees of those historical dinners include luminaries such Benjamin Franklin and Antoine Lavosier and of course, King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinnette (who famously made wearing potato blossoms in the hair fashionable).
We invite our guests to dress formal, in period dress if desired.
