On Wednesday, July 6th, The Town of Babylon will be presenting a proclamation and resolution to First Company Pink for its got checked?campaign – a vehicle to reach youth by integrating music, videos, clothing and more into psyche of young women to raise breast cancer awareness.
Babylon Chief of Staff, Gerry Compitello, First Company Pink Founder, Donna Cioffi and Creative Director of got checked?Linda Bonanno together will be working to institute a got checked?Day for the citizens of Suffolk County in New York. The intent is to ultimately support the growth of this commemorative day throughout the country.
First Company Pink is passionately committed to raising funds to support lifesaving breast cancer research. Its mission is to educate, engage and empower in order to raise awareness about breast cancer in young women – filling the gap between puberty and age 40 when breast health education could be tragically too late. The Town of Babylon has worked well with the Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition for many years, and has recently began a great relationship with First Company Pink in order to continue helping the organization promote wellness and increase public awareness.
The meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 6th at 10 am at Babylon Town Hall, located at 200 Sunrise Hwy in Lindenhurst. The meeting will be approximately 30 minutes.
