Barnes Gallery of Garden City and The Village Art Club of Rockville Centre (VAC) will present a wide-ranging collection of new artworks by VAC members. The exhibit will be open to the public from June 1st through June 30th and all paintings on display will be for sale.
The show, entitled “Variations” is the second annual VAC exhibit to be hosted by Barnes Gallery. It will present about 70 original works by Long Island artists “We are very honored to again have the opportunity to display and sell VAC members’ new work.” said Greg Schnoor, owner of Barnes Gallery. “VAC artists are accomplished in a variety of media – watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel and collage. You’ll see landscapes, still-lifes, animal subjects, florals, portraits and abstract works. There’s art to enrich every taste and décor.”
“This is such a great program and venue for our artists,” said Frank McIntyre, the Village Art Club’s President. “We are delighted to be invited back to contribute to Barnes Gallery’s first- class exhibit series. Art on Long Island has a great friend and supporter in Greg and his fine company.”
Additionally, participating VAC artists will be on hand for the “Variations” reception on Saturday, June 10, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. The reception is open to the public and requires no reservations. “We invite everyone to the reception, Mr. Schnoor said. “Come see the work. Talk with the artists. Enjoy wine, light refreshments and live music.”
Barnes Gallery is located at Two Nassau Boulevard, Garden City South. The Gallery opens Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
