Veterans and their families and friends are invited to a poetry reading at the Walt Whitman Birthplace. All are encouraged to bring a printed copy of their favorite poem (not self-written) and a brief personal statement about the poems significance. Audience members will be invited to read their selections on stage. Refreshments will be served. Event is free & open to the public.
