The 1st annual Whit Whit Walk was held in 2013 to celebrate the life of Whitney Posillico and to raise funds and awareness for Childhood Cancer. Each September, families across the area join together at Caumsett State Park, to walk and raise money that fund pediatric cancer research studies at Memorial Sloan Kettering. Since Whitney’s diagnosis in 2011, the Posillico family, with the support of friends, family and the community, has raised over $400,000 for Childhood Cancer Research. $170,000 went to St. Baldrick’s and the remaining $240,000 created the Whit Whit Fund.
This year the Whit Whit Walk is honored to celebrate Will Benjamin, a 17-year old Leukemia survivor and friend. Help us in the fight to raise funds and awareness!
