Aquarius
Jan 20—Feb 18
With no major astrological aspects in Aquarius, independent water bearers can enjoy a month free of crazy planets and bewildering influences. While erratic planets are out of the picture, feel free to do previously banned things like starting a new venture or signing on a dotted line. (Do read the contract first, please.)
Aries
March 21—April 19
Aries are happiest when things are running on time. They can’t stand delays, which makes the void of course moon (when the moon is between signs), a scheduling night- mare. Avoid setting deadlines on the 13th and 14th when the cosmos will be off track.
Cancer
June 21—July 22
Didn’t hear about Saturn’s retrograde from March to August? Wow. See, everyone else did... That’s exactly how the planet wants Cancers to feel. Insecurity abounds during the unsettling cosmic shift, but don’t let the mean ol’ cosmos make second-guessing become second nature.
Capricorn
Dec 22—Jan 19
Though Uranus is blue, it makes us see life in very black-and-white terms. When it gets spring fever in May, its cut-and-dried way of thinking is abandoned in favor of more extreme perspectives. From the 4th to the 25th, stay safe by resisting the urge to make bets, take dares, or go anywhere with Bear Grylls.
Gemini
May 21—June 20
May flowers are beautiful, but they don’t have the same je ne sais quoi as Venus. The fun and flirty planet is promising a month of excitement and adventures on the open road (even if that road is just the LIE). Gems will feel like their best selves, and friends will clamor to ride shotgun.
Leo
July 23—Aug 22
Leo remains bathed in Jupiter’s influence, get thee a lotto ticket! The planet radiates positivity onto Leos, turning May into history’s shortest golden age. Though luck abounds, it must be combined with perseverance to pay off. Take “no” and “can’t” off the table all month and great things will unfold.
Libra
Sept 23—Oct 22
The new moon on the 18th makes Libra’s love sector light up brighter than a barrel of toxic waste. Scales haven’t been very balanced in matters of the heart, the eclipse forces Libras to face the sludge they’ve inexplicably shoveled onto a relationship. Clean up that act, or prepare to be labeled a hazard.
Pices
Feb 19—March 20
Chiron is the world’s worst nurse in that it sees our secret wounds... and merrily pokes them. It uncovered sensitive spots last month, allowing Pisces a period of convalescence. Now it’s time to leave the pain behind. Thread that stitching needle, because the 1st to the 9th is the best time to heal.
Sagittarius
Nov 22—Dec 21
Poor Mercury got a bad rap thanks to the whole retrograde thing, but the planet isn’t all bad. All month the Energizer Bunny of the cosmos gives Sags the pick-me-up they need to handle the enormous burdens placed on them at work. When the going gets tough, archers can keep going, and going...
Scorpio
Oct 23—Nov 21
Scorpios have an incredible work ethic, but that drive often makes romantic partners feel firmly ensconced in second (or even third) place. To avoid burning out at the office and disappointing at home, play hooky on the 18th when the new moon offers a cosmic “reset” opportunity. Astrologist’s orders!
Taurus
April 20—May 20
Finding a strong relationship’s weak link is upsetting for sensitive Taurans, but simmering only works for soup. When raw emotions bubble over, choose sharing over stifling. Loving Venus enters at the last second on the 31st, but planets don’t make the best mediators. Consider bringing in an impartial third party to help.
Virgo
Aug 23—Sept 22
Pluto handled its planetary demotion well, but sometimes it still acts just like the crotchety dude in the office nobody likes. Its anger and suspicion are palpable on the 9th and 30th and Virgos must resist the urge to follow suit. Swallowed pride isn’t delicious, but a fight’s aftertaste is no better.
