Horoscopes December/January 2014

  • Aquarius

    Jan 20—Feb 18

Mars in Aquarius is the astrological version of Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies:” It’s all about independence, attitude... and it doesn’t have
a ring. Prepare to feel bold and empowered at work and in relationships. By month’s end, everything’s coming up hearts and dollar signs.

  • Aries

    March 21—April 19

The Giving Tree of the zodiac, Aries tend to end up stumps by the end of every day. Uranus challenges Aries to step out of that selfless zone. It’s not easy, hence Uranus’ transit from 2010-2019. Instead of going out on a limb for everyone, remember to set aside some me time.

  • Cancer

    June 21—July 22

Structured Cancers cannot stand to live in limbo. However, a disagreement with a friend is still unresolved and that uneasy feeling won’t subside until a call is made. Be the bigger person and pick up the phone—a text message will not suffice.

  • Capricorn

    Dec 22—Jan 19

Normally, Caps are like mullets: Business in the front, party in the back (and underappreciated all over). When buzzkill Mercury enters on the 21st, it tries to cut out all the fun. Fight back with positivity, even if it feels forced. A fake-it-’til- you–make-it attitude will see Caps through until the 30th when faking will no longer be required.

  • Gemini

    May 21—June 20

Santa knows who’s naughty and nice, but devoted Gemini are blind to the treachery of others. On the 23rd, shrewd Saturn does cosmic cataract surgery on Gems’ clouded eyes. By the 25th, frenemies will be easy to spot—and ditch. Don’t even waste a good lump of coal.

  • Leo

    July 23—Aug 22

The cosmic whirlwind of Mercury retrograde dies down until February, but it’s not entirely smooth sailing ahead. Stand firm on the 19th when co-workers try to blow a project off course. A mutiny on the SS Office can be avoided by keeping calm when everyone expects a blow up.

  • Libra

    Sept 23—Oct 22

The true node is a point where the moon crosses the sun’s path. It’s all about karma and it guides Libras from the 1st through the 24th. After a high-stress year marked by an incredibly joyful moment, it’s a reminder that scales, though they may feel unbalanced, are where they need to be.

  • Pices

    Feb 19—March 20

Chiron the comet streaks through Pisces from the 2nd to the 21st. The “wounded healer” enters when it senses a deep hurt that no doctor could cure. Its goal isn’t to erase emotional scars, but to help Pisces find the strength to move forward.

  • Sagittarius

    Nov 22—Dec 21

Forget Dasher, Dancer and Prancer. Sags have the Sun, Venus and Mercury this month—and although they don’t rhyme, they make up for that with a dose of luck, energy and light-hearted fun. Prepare for a blitz-en of invites and a full social calendar on the 26th.

  • Scorpio

    Oct 23—Nov 21

When Saturn’s two-month transit ends on the 23rd, it will feel like Captain Kirk engaged the hyperdrive. Saturn’s motto is “live in the moment,” so it slowed life down to ensure every second was relished. As it exits, things pick back up and Scorpios will live long and prosper.

  • Taurus

    April 20—May 20

The full, cold moon on the 6th ushers in long, dark nights. Taurans prefer warmth, but are also cosmically energized by falling temperatures. Bulls’ brains will dump ideas faster than they can be shoveled and one on the 10th will snowball into an exciting venture.

  • Virgo

    Aug 23—Sept 22

Virgos can go all Rainman when Saturn’s around. The structured planet means well, but it can easily go overboard in turning quirky habits into outright obsessions. (Unfortunately, an incredible card counting ability is sold separately.) Saturn bounces in January, so don’t put the therapist on speed dial just yet.
