Horoscopes Feb 2012

  • Aquarius

    Jan 20—Feb 18

    (January 20—February 18)
You must have changed your fabric softener or something, ‘cause planets are clamoring to get a whiff of you. Last month, Venus, Neptune, the Sun and Jupiter came sniffing around, and now Mercury (never one to miss a party, but rarely on time) enters on the 8th. So what’s this cosmic cocktail signify? Since November, you’ve been pulled in every direction by friends and family. Now that pressure has hit its peak. But instead of bursting like a balloon, it’s time to tug on the string and let yourself float away.

  • Aries

    March 21—April 19

    (March 21—April 19)
Feel like you’ve been coloring outside the lines lately...and liking it? That’s because you’re feeling the influence of Uranus—and it’s so much more than a planet with a truly unfortunate name. It’s been hanging around since March 11 with no intention of finding a new artist until May 15, 2018. Though you’ve been on a steady climb for months, you’ll get a little extra boost when Uranus reaffirms its presence on the 9th. But don’t get cocky, ‘cause what the cosmos gives, it can also take away—and what goes uphill can also be shoved right back down (when nobody’s looking).

  • Cancer

    June 21—July 22

    (June 21—July 22)
The full moon on the 7th was often called the Full Hunger Moon by Native American tribes, as it cast its pale light during cold months when rations were at their lowest. Luckily you’re not a hunter (and brunch has since been invented) so your tummy will be just fine. It’s your heart that may not be as satisfied. If you’re not getting what you truly need from a relationship on the 11th, stick a fork in it—it’s done.

  • Capricorn

    Dec 22—Jan 19

    (December 22—January 19)
Pluto’s been with you for so long, you probably don’t remember the moment it entered back on November 26, 2008. Still, if you look at the trajectory of your life, it’s easy to see that the dwarf planet has made some big changes. Since it rules power, it’s been the source of yours for years now, and it helped you climb the ladder at work and find your voice at home. Can you keep the crown when it’s gone? Luckily you’ve got until March 23, 2023 to figure that out.

  • Gemini

    May 21—June 20

    (May 21—June 20)
According to your 2012 forecast, February will be tame with a 0% chance of drama. In fact, with no planets around and Mercury still on winter break, restless sun signs may wish for patches of problems and spotty showers. The best way to deal with a raging case of ants in your pants is to get busy (and probably change pants). There’s literally no action in your sign, so you’ll need to make your own. Remember this: If you’re bored, you’re boring—and that six-letter word is far worse than any of the four-letter ones.

  • Leo

    July 23—Aug 22

    (July 23—August 22)
For dynamic, outgoing Leos, the only thing worse than not being the center of attention is...well, actually, nothing. It’s no wonder you struggle when the moon is off course and signs are supposed to stay relatively quiet. Luckily, your “do nothing” window is relatively short on the 6th from 7:31am to 8:24am. During that time, anything you start or finish will need to be done again, and any plans you make will fall apart. So try to find a happy medium. Walk to the middle of your living room and, very grandly, just stand there.

  • Libra

    Sept 23—Oct 22

    (September 23—October 22)
It must be true that opposites attract, because Saturn cozied up to your sign last July and won’t move out until October 5th. The restrictive planet and easy-going scales (that’s you) normally don’t mix, but in this instance, Saturn lends structure to your life. When an important relationship gets shaky, it’s Saturn’s influence that helps you firmly reinforce it. But in love and building, there’s one undeniable truth: If the foundation is off, you may have to start from scratch.

  • Pices

    Feb 19—March 20

    (February 19—March 20)
Since 2011, there have been two cosmic visitors that just can’t quit you: Chiron, chilling from February 8th on, and Neptune, your buddy since April. Though they’re literally a solar system apart, their influences mingle to help you heal from a recent heartache. But there’s another interesting side effect when those planets collide—and it’s a little less cut-and-dried. Neptune is all about mystery and it rarely reveals everything on the first date. It’s still here to remind you that someone you discounted years ago is worthy of a second look. Keep your eyes (and heart) open.

  • Sagittarius

    Nov 22—Dec 21

    (November 22—December 21)
You jump into life head first, but you rarely look before you leap. While that spontaneous quality can be a blessing or a curse, it works in your favor on the 7th when Mercury’s influence can be felt. The combo of your enthusiasm and the planet’s vision set your mind in motion and you’ll dream bigger than ever before. One warning: When you’re thinking at the speed of light, it’s easy to lose focus. Set your sights on one goal and you’ll surely achieve it by month’s end.

  • Scorpio

    Oct 23—Nov 21

    (October 23—November 21)
It’s fitting, actually, that there are no significant planetary events in your sign this month. You’ve attained a level of focus and cultivated so much creativity that no planet or moon phase could possibly affect or influence you. In this moment, you are truly creating your own destiny—and though what’s ahead may be blurry, it’s BIG. Whether it’s finally starting that daunting novel on your night table or getting a new business venture off the ground, you’re poised for a win. Take a chance—and maybe someday we’ll be reading about you.

  • Taurus

    April 20—May 20

    (April 20—May 20)
As a practical Earth sign, you often don’t notice things unless they hit you over the head. And for the sake of your brain, here’s a tip: Jupiter’s back in town. The planet that’s been quietly backing you up since June 4th is stepping forward from the 16th to the 20th. Mark your calendar—those will be productive days when people will see your true grit. Instead of letting others get you by the horns, you’re the bull doing all the grabbing.

  • Virgo

    Aug 23—Sept 22

    (August 23—September 22)
Mars was your not-so-secret admirer last month, visiting on the 1st and from the 6th-7th. Then just when you thought it had left, it popped up on the 23rd to say, “Hello, this is actually considered stalking in many countries!” While its influence wasn’t all bad (it helped you focus and get ahead at work), it did make you more aggressive when it comes to relationships. This month, try not to be overly critical of a partner or shoot a friend’s ideas down on the 18th. And if Mars bugs you again, suggest a copy of Virgo’s Just Not That Into You.
