Jan 20—Feb 18
(January 20 –– February 18)
The July 19th new moon doesn’t fall in your sign, but you are certainly going to feel its effects. After a year of endings, summer ushers in a season of bright new beginnings. Now is the time to initiate a friendship, rejuvenate your relationship and reach out to those you’ve lost touch with. It may seem daunting to bring the past into your present, but the new moon’s got your back. You’ll feel energetic, light and extremely spontaneous from the 20th on, so going with the flow will be second nature. Not even nasty old Mercury retrograde can keep you down—and that’s practically an astrological miracle.
March 21—April 19
(March 21 — April 19)
When a planet is in retrograde, it often has a terrible effect on signs. Luckily, Uranus does the exact opposite when it moves backward on the 13th. It finds your tightly screwed emotional valve and loosens it, letting forth a flood of bottled up feelings. You know that oddly satisfying feeling after a good cry? That’s what Uranus is going for, and it’ll take any release it can get. Rather yell or laugh? Anchors away! Just maybe give anyone around you a nice heads up—or a pair of earplugs.
June 21—July 22
(June 21—July 22)
The moon is normally your nice friend who lives very far away, but even it has off days. Going void of course is sort of like lunar PMS. Don’t start or finish a project or sign on any dotted lines on July 16th from 6:56am to 8:31pm. Making a large purchase or big decision is also a no-no. Why? ‘Cause when the moon is between signs, the universe is in chaos and humans don’t make the best decisions. Oh, and forget about bribing it with chocolate—it prefers cheese.
Dec 22—Jan 19
(December 22 –– January 19)
You can call the July full moon the Full Buck Moon, the Full Thunder Moon or the Full Hay Moon—just don’t call it during dinner (har har). It brings a heap of strength and luck when it arrives on the 3rd so you’ll feel much stronger both physically and mentally. The full moon helps you tie up loose ends, and its early arrival means you have 28 glorious drama-free days ahead. Go ahead, thank your lunar friend…using whatever name you prefer.
May 21—June 20
(May 21—June 20)
Though most commonly represented by twins, you’re also the sign of the juggler—and anyone who has seen your crazy schedule knows why. When Jupiter (planet of growth) enters on the 18th you’ll be busier than ever, but you won’t drop a single ball. Meanwhile, Venus has been around since the 3rd, waiting patiently for you to let love take center stage. Single? You’ll have an exciting encounter on the 7th, whether you’re ready or not. Attached? Skipping plans with a partner on the 21st could come back to haunt you—and Casper is not so friendly when scorned.
July 23—Aug 22
(July 23—August 22)
Since you are ruled by the sun, its arrival on the 22nd is like an astro-reunion. The only problem is you both think you’re the center of the universe. Your rather large ego isn’t always your best quality, so be sure to keep it in check while your hot plasma pal is in town. Don’t get me wrong, friends and family love how you warm up a room and command attention, but if you don’t share the spotlight, you’ll eventually end up in the dark.
Sept 23—Oct 22
(September 23 –– October 22)
So many plans, so little time. You have a hard time saying no to friends, and that often means you’re too stressed to really enjoy any one event. Luckily Mars, the planet of action and decisions, swoops in to help on the 3rd, 8th and the 17th-19th. There’s nothing wrong with being a social butterfly, but if you continue at this rate your little wings will give out. Try saying it out loud: “Hi, I’m a Libra and I’m a double-booking addict.” Acceptance is the first step.
Feb 19—March 20
(February 19 –– March 20)
Chiron, the planetary candy striper, has been sprinkling its special astro-meds over your sign since April 2010, and it won’t be leaving until 2018. Its influence is especially intense on the 7th, 19th, 24th and 25th, so you may feel strongest on those magical days. However, Chiron can’t fix everything, and it doesn’t want to. According to mythology, Chiron suffered from a wound that never healed, but rather than giving into misery, he spent eternity looking for a cure. Channel the cosmic nurse and refuse to let emotional injuries fester. Only you can write your prescription for relief.
Nov 22—Dec 21
(November 22 –– December 21)
With no new astrological events and no lingering planets trying to throw you for a loop, you’re looking at a relatively calm month. Sure, wacky Mercury retrograde is pretty much turning everyone into lunatics, but at least you won’t be the king or queen of Crazy Town. The most chaotic days are the 14th to the 31st, so be sure to make all major decisions beforehand or wait until August to put anything in writing. Sorry, it’s not the most exciting horoscope this time around, but right about now you and your not-so-wild month are the envy of other signs.
Oct 23—Nov 21
October 23 –– November 21)
With no new planetary movement or major astrological events in your sign this July, you’d assume you’re in for a ho-hum month, but that’s hardly the case. Saturn has been quietly hanging out since October 5th, and it’s still right there with you through December 24th, 2014. Saturn is secretive and intense, and it demands a lot from you. Try not to give into frustration at work on the 17th and don’t hold a grudge after a fight with a friend on the 20th. “It’s not you, it’s Saturn” may not make sense to your pal, but it’s the truth.
April 20—May 20
(April 20 –– May 20)
Last month, Jupiter left your sign after more than a year, and you may feel a little lost without it. Don’t worry, you didn’t do anything wrong; Jupiter moves on when it feels it’s made a decent mark. Luckily the abundance and joy it brought to your life won’t fade anytime soon. With no significant planetary events muddling things up, you’ll have plenty of time to adjust to a world without the king of gods. It’s easy to feel abandoned, but self-reliance is one thing Jupiter should have taught you.
Aug 23—Sept 22
(August 23—September 22)
Mercury laid low last month, and unfortunately it’s back with a vengeance. The 5th through the 24th are all red-letter days when the universe is most erratic. On top of that, Mercury goes retrograde (ie, insane) from the 14th to the 31st. This is not the month to make any major changes, as your emotions are far too screwy to be trusted. However, you can complete ongoing projects and plan ahead. When the danger has passed, take a look at your to-do list. Anything that still seems appealing is definitely worth pursuing.
