New Coffee Shop Heading to Patchogue

The Bean of Patchogue will soon take over West Main Street offering cold brew to beat the summer heat. There’s an entire wall dedicated to the shop’s signature caffeinated beverage, which is about six times stronger than original cold brew.

But that’s not all owner Robert Cutrone will be offering in his new venture. Bean of Patchogue, the third location for the growing independent and local chain (the other two are in Babylon and Bay Shore), has been teasing some of the goodies on its social pages. Think gooey chocolate chip cookies, Nutella, maple and bacon donuts, Goldberg’s Famous Bagels and lattes with Instagram-worthy art.

“We really sell anything from desserts, tea, coffee, acai bowls, fresh croissants, paninis, salads, soups and more,” Cutrone said. “It’s the only place in Patchogue where you can get a 10-15 minute lunch.”

Cutrone, who always dreamed of opening a coffee shop, had teamed up with Bean of Babylon owner Sal Gervasi to learn the ins and outs of the company. The Bean is known for its twist on coffee beverages and having its own coffee-roasting company, East End Roasters in East Moriches.

Another perk to the Patchogue location is the community friendly atmosphere. There is a communal table in the back of the rustic store that caters to big groups, as well as private and business events. Summer evenings will also be complete with live music inviting locals and visitors alike to jam while sipping their drink of choice.

“Something I think our customers will enjoy is the personality of the store as well as the personality of our employees,” Cutrone added.

The Bean of Patchogue will be located at 62 West Main Street in Patchogue.
